The Funding Den
The Funding Den was the initiative of Startup Grind, Bhubaneswar, to platform to facilitate the funding opportunity for selected startups by pitching before selected investors. The 2nd edition of this initiative, The Funding Den 2023 was held on 24th September 2023 (Sunday).
Mr. Durga Prasad Gouda, COO, AIC-Nalanda, Mr. Nadeem Ahmed from FreeFlow Ventures, Mr. Alexzandar Das, Angel Investor, Chairman at Kalinga Group of Institutions and Ms.Pootul Biswas, Investment Manager of KIIT-TBI were investors present for the occasion.
The Funding Den event commenced with a formal inauguration, setting the stage for a day filled with knowledge-sharing and networking. The audience had the privilege of hearing from experts who provided valuable insights into the world of startup funding.
The highlight of the event was a panel discussion on investments, expertly moderated by Mr. Aayush Vats, Chapter Director of Startup Grind, Bhubaneswar. The discussion touched on various aspects of startup funding, dispelling myths and offering concrete advice to the participants. 10 Selected Startups pitched before the panel. Smaket Solutions, portfolio startups of AIC-Nalanda and Farmint, Urgence, Dodong, Happiness Under Budget Retail, supported startups under Sanvriddhi 2.0 were among the 10 selected startups. Farmint was selected as the Best Emerging Startup and got felicitated by the Startup Grind, Bhubaneswar.
The Funding Den event proved to be a valuable platform for startups to showcase their potential and connect with potential investors. The opportunity for ten startups to pitch their ideas was a pivotal moment for their growth, and the active involvement of the audience further enriched the event.
